WHAT SHOULD YOU EXPECT FROM THIS “CHIN NA IN DEPTH” COURSE?
From the Hearts and Minds of Dr. Yang's Fans and Students...
As a police officer, defensive tactics instructor, and lifelong martial artist, I have to say that this is one of the best martial arts courses that I have experienced. Every technique is top quality, and I will pass them on to my students at the law enforcement academy. Thank you so much for making this course available to the public.

For any martial artist interested in joint locking techniques, the Chin Na In Depth Course by Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming is a fabulous resource. For those that can't learn from Dr. Yang directly, this is the next best thing. It is also a great set for those that are fortunate enough to attend a seminar and want a reference to review. These DVDs are just like being with Dr. Yang at a seminar.

This course offers deep and personal instruction from one of the world's foremost authorities on the topic of Chin Na grappling. Developed in China over several thousand years of history, Chin Na is the root of all other grappling. The quality and attention to detail of this training is unsurpassed, which truly makes it possible to fine tune each of these techniques until they are highly effective, after proper training. Few masters of Chinese martial arts reveal as much information on any topic as does Master Yang, and for that we owe him a debt of gratitude. This in-depth training is nearly impossible to find anywhere else in the world.

This is an excellent course that was very well produced. The movements are shown in regular speed and then broken down in a slower pace and then done in close up. Very highly recommended!

HOW TO PROCEED THROUGH THIS PROGRAM:
MAIN METHOD – Normal Pace: You will revisit the Chin Na In Depth 12-Week Course many times in the years ahead. However, during your first experience with Dr. Yang’s Chin Na series, it is suggested that you simply pace yourself through one course each week until you have completed all 12-weeks of this series. After you see all of the Chin Na techniques, you’ll have a clear understanding of the concept and then you can start to focus on the techniques that apply to your needs.
ALTERNATE METHOD – Slower Pace: Master Yang strongly suggests that you continue practicing and reasonably perfecting the techniques presented in the program each week until you have gained a significant level of mastery over the techniques for that week. In keeping, it is advised to stay with a week as long as is necessary in order for you to perfect your technique while correcting mistakes. When you take as much time as you need to master these techniques, you will reap much greater rewards through better form and function in the development of your own personal style of this art form.
When you’re first learning a Chin Na technique, focus on the details of the angles and make sure you really understand the leverage involved, before you add speed. The only way that your Chin Na will be useful to you in sparring or a real life altercation is if you train a few of your favorite techniques many times until it becomes a reflex action. You won’t have time to think when the time comes. Chin Na works best when its in your body memory.
CAUTION: Take it slow and careful when you are training with a partner. Give each other feedback about when the Chin Na begins to hurt and don’t push too far. Also, don’t overtrain, especially at first. Chin Na is great for stretching and strengthening your fingers, wrists, and joints but allow it to build up slowly and naturally.
